Friends Program

Spiritual Care invites you to consider volunteering for the Friends Program at Mount Olivet Home and Mount Olivet Careview Home.

A Friend Volunteer provides one-to-one friendship with a resident living at Mount Olivet Home or Mount Olivet Careview Home through regular visits. This program welcomes adult volunteers who are willing to be a dependable companion to a resident. Click here to view the Friends brochure.

The Benefits and Joys of Being a Friend:

• Regular ongoing visits with a resident (2-4 times per month)
• Offering a sacred and safe space for a resident to share their stories and life experiences
• Friendship to ease loneliness and isolation which enhances the home-like atmosphere for resident
