Volunteer Your Time
Volunteer Opportunities Include:
- Escorting residents to worship services or in-house events
- Assisting in the Gift Shop
- Supporting Music Therapists during interactive activities
- Bringing joy with pet visits
- Offering relaxing manicures
- Accompanying residents on outings
- Providing mealtime entertainment with music
- Leading or assisting with Bingo games
- Participating in a variety of unique programming opportunities
Friendship Program
Spiritual Care invites you to consider volunteering for the Friends Program at Mount Olivet Home and Mount Olivet Careview Home.
A Friend Volunteer provides one-to-one friendship with a resident living at Mount Olivet Home or Mount Olivet Careview Home through regular visits. This program welcomes adult volunteers who are willing to be a dependable companion to a resident. Click here to view the Friends brochure.
The Benefits and Joys of Being a Friend:
- Regular ongoing visits with a resident (2-4 times per month)
- Offering a sacred and safe space for a resident to share their stories and life experiences
- Friendship to ease loneliness and isolation which enhances the home-like atmosphere for resident
