Earth Day

Residents of Mount Olivet Careview Home celebrated Earth Day 2025 by creating beautiful, heartfelt artwork. Earth Day was first observed in 1970, sparked by a U.S. senator from Wisconsin who organized a nationwide demonstration to raise awareness about environmental issues. The movement gained momentum with rallies held across the country, eventually leading to the creation of the Environmental Protection Agency later that year. By 1990, Earth Day had grown into a global event, observed in more than 140 countries.
A heartfelt thank you to our Mount Olivet residents for recognizing the importance of caring for our planet and contributing their creativity to this meaningful celebration.
