Stress and poor mental health are one of the biggest public health challenges that we’re facing. Sadly, even though that is the case, we are still not taking its impact seriously enough. We continue to separate mental health from physical health and vice versa. The reality is they cannot be separate – they are two sides of the same coin. There is no health without mental health and stress can lead to numerous health problems.

For the one million Americans living with Parkinson’s, Parkinson’s awareness is more than a month. It’s about bringing attention to a life-changing disease that is on the rise and connecting people to critical resources.

This special month-long campaign focuses on an important part of PD awareness —educating everyone on the many symptoms that impact daily life and how to address them. It’s also about helping people recognize the early signs that can lead to an earlier diagnosis and overall better quality of life.

On the afternoon of Tuesday, June 13 Mount Olivet Careview Home was recognized in the StarTribune.com top workplaces 2023, and on Sunday, June 18, we were recognized in the Star Tribune special section “Top Workplaces 2023.”

The evaluation for the Top Workplaces program is based upon feedback from an employee survey that was sent to our employees a few months ago. We had almost 200 staff complete the survey.

Over 5,000 organizations were invited to participate in the survey, and more than 124,719 employees

Moving into a Care facility can be a difficult transition for some, and may be even more difficult due to COVID-19.

• To help the process its good to know their life story
• Learn about activities your loved one enjoys
• Have photos, blankets, and other familiar items in their room
